We are committed to processing personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).Data collected: name, email address, and phone number, collected when a client books a session via our Cal.com booking link. In the course of consultations, we also collect information the client shares about their household and relocation — including family composition, immigration/visa status, relocation plans and timeline, and details relevant to preparing children for enrollment in French schools — in order to provide tailored guidance. Sessions take place over Google Meet and are not recorded. At the time of signing up for our services, clients may separately opt in to our client/alumni mailing list to receive occasional newsletters about in-person meetups and related updates.How it's processed: booking data is transferred from Cal.com to our internal records system (Craft) via an automation tool (Make). Notes and household/relocation details shared during consultations are recorded directly in the client's file in Craft. Email correspondence is handled through Google Workspace. Phone numbers are also used for text messaging (SMS/iMessage) with clients, particularly to support logistics after arrival in France. Clients who opt in to our mailing list have their email address processed through Kit for newsletter delivery.Purpose: scheduling, delivering, and managing our linguistic consulting and relocation support services, including planning around household and immigration needs such as visa status and children's schooling, ongoing post-arrival logistics support, maintaining client correspondence, and — for those who opt in—sending occasional newsletters about client/alumni meetups and related updates.Legal basis: performance of the contract between us and the client for service delivery; consent for the client/alumni mailing list, which is opt-in and may be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.Data concerning children and immigration status: where a client shares information about their children (for school preparation and enrollment support) or about their household's immigration/visa status, this data is provided directly by the client as part of the service and is used solely for that purpose.Sub-processors: Cal.com, Make, Craft, Google (Gmail/Meet), and Kit—each of which provides GDPR-compliant data processing terms and appropriate safeguards for any data transferred outside the EU/EEA (such as standard contractual clauses).Retention: client data is retained for up to 3 years following the end of the client engagement, after which it is deleted. Mailing list data is retained until the client unsubscribes or requests deletion.Rights: under the GDPR, clients have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of their data, and to data portability.
